Could goverment assistance to illegal parents affect financial aid?

Posted by Mr. Rodriguez
I'm currently a legal U.S. citizen with three siblings that are also legal, yet with both parents residing illegally in the U.S. My parents are currently unemployed. Also, my three siblings are in Special Education and have difficulties learning/speaking and controling themselves, thus they qualified for government (Social Security) assistance; my mother receives financial assistance from the Social Security to help support them. Could this financial assistance affect my financial aid in any way? Could I still be legible to receive financial aid?

We have forwarded your question to immigration lawyer, Elsie C. Vasquez. Please give us a few days to get back to you on your situation.

Thank you for your patience.
