Dear Elizabeth,
I would highly suggest that if you are able to finish high school at your current school that you do it. If you must move, I would look into transferring to a high school in Houston.
While there is nothing wrong with finishing school online, there are some pros and cons. An online high school provides you with flexibility, convenience, and can allow you to complete your credits faster. However, you must be highly motivated. You will not have the guidance or the one-on-one discussion that you can have with a professor or counselor. Also, universities want to see that you are involved with clubs and activities. An online high school will not be able to provide you with those extracurricular activities.
You should reflect on your situation. If you are able to finish high school at a traditional school, I would highly suggest it. However, If you decide it's best to complete your high school degree from an online school, make sure they are accredited. If the online school is not accredited, your diploma will not be accepted by universities.
Good luck and feel free to ask us more questions!
