Freshman, First Generation College student, and Hispanic in need of scholarships/grants!

Posted by Stephanie
I am currently a Freshman at Florida State University through the C.A.R.E Program which is a program for first generation college students and those of financial need. I am currently relying on FAFSA to help pay for my college and I need help!
I really need to find scholarships/ grants for minority.

Please e-mail me if you know any scholarships, grants or have good suggestions.
my e-mail is stephanieroman@aol.com

In addition, I am very proud to be a Latino in College!

Thank you very much!
Dear Stephanie,

There are tons of scholarships! However, you must set aside time each week to research and apply. I suggest you go to our main page and click on Paying for school. Here you will find a list of organizations that offer scholarships - SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID.
[*] I recommend starting off with www.fastweb.com where you can create an account and have the site match you up with available scholarships.

Check out UNCONVENTIONAL WAYS TO PAY FOR COLLEGE. Here you will get ideas on how to raise money.

Also, don't be afraid to ask family and friends for donation. There was a student who sent a letter to all his contacts asking for $5 and was able to raise sufficient amount of funds.

Good luck!
