EXCHANGE PROGRAMS FOR OUT OF STATE STUDENTS
You want to study outside of your state but you don't want to pay the price? Look into these websites and find out the great number of options that you may have to study out of your state and still pay in-state tuition.


Alaska Adventure - The State of Alaska participates in student exchange and access programs to provide higher education opportunities while improving the variety of courses available to Alaskans.

K-State -K-State admissions information for out-of-state students. K-State also offers exchange programs that let you attend at the in-state tuition rate.

Midwestern Higher Education Compact - It offers the Midwest Student Exchange Program (MSEP). This multi-state tuition reciprocity program allows students from seven states to attend colleges at another participating state. Participating states: Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota and Wisconsin.

Montana University System -Montana participates in three professional student exchange programs that offer educational opportunities at specific, out-of-state professional programs in select fields of study that are not available in the state: WICHE Professional Student Exchange (PSEP), WWAMI Medical Education Program, and the Minnesota Dental Program.

New England Board of Higher Education (NEBHE) - Students are eligible for a tuition break when they enroll in an approved major that is not offered by the public colleges in their own state. Participating states: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Portland State University -Western Undergraduate Exchange Programs offers scholarships for different majors under their listing.

Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) - It allows residents from one of 16 SREB states to study a degree program not available in their state. Participating states: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia

Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) - Undergraduate exchange program for students living in one of the WICHE's states and studying out of state. Students may enroll in participating two and four-year institutions and get reduced tuition rates. Participating states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
