TOOLS FOR PARENTS
These are some wonderful resources for parents to support their children's education with an eye in college.

Holy Trinity High School -This Chicago High School has had a 100% College Acceptance Rate since 2006. With its small class size, Customized Guidance Counseling and strong moral foundation, Holy Trinity is a great place for your child to plan their college years!

Learning Leaders -Volunteers Helping Students Succeed, Learning Leaders work with students. Learning Leaders' mission is to help New York City public school students succeed by training volunteers to provide individualized instructional support and other school-based support, and by equipping parents to foster their children's education development. They recruit, train and support up to 12,000 school volunteers who work with over 265,000 students over one-fifth of the New York City public school population in over 850 schools throughout the five boroughs. They offer great opportunities for volunteers to work with students and also with parents. In addition they offer parent workshops throughout the city.

Me Encanta -Mariela Dabbah has developed a program based on her book called: "Help your children succeed in high school and go to college" which enables anyone to conduct parent workshops. The program offers 4 video-modules and a Facilitator's Guide, all available for free in Spanish and in English. Just go to "becas" (scholarships) and you'll access a unique program that you can implement in your community right away.

Parent Involvement Matters -A fantastic organization that groups parents, educators, trainers, counselors and others to help increase parent involvement in education. The website offers an enormous amount of resources, from books to speakers organizations that offer parenting materials and training.
